I'm leaving for NY today at around 12:30 or one. Here are a few movies I'd like to remember to buy, and I'll write them here in order to remember to buy them. The Legend of Lylah Claire and The Pumpkin Eater. There.

Hello, I'm adding more, from a hotel in Ohio. Today, after some goodbyes, I had a really strange experience at the dentist, which I will elaborate on later. Never having had cavities before, I was thrilled to find out that on this day, I had five! My mouth was numb and we were very late getting on the road. The drive was so beautiful though- much nicer than the one to Chicago. I really liked this one. There were misty patches of land by really smooth looking freeways, and there were does in the mist, too! And a big red moon around 10:30 as we entered Ohio. Tomorrow we'll drive more and get to my new home around 4pm

nantucket nectars

My feet smell really badly, and I have nothing to do today. I'm in Chicago and I can't stop acting stupidly. Hopefully tonight I can take a bath or something and relax. I would like to leave earlier than I had planned on. At six P.M. tonight I will make my way downtown to attend an orientation regarding my duties as an Access volunteer for Lollapalooza. This won't be fun. I am moody. I am not hungry. I am also sweaty and smelly. Maybe I'll take a bath now! Do I remember how to take baths??

Sweet-Talking Guy-uy

I found a C.D. with lots and lots of pictures from about 4+ years ago this evening, and it was great. My favorite one is below. Picture 214
Tomorrow I'll go to Chicago for a week to visit with my friends for one last time, and then back home for about two weeks to finish writing my show and finally performing it. After that, it's off to school. Today was the highly anticipated Nomination Celebration in the Park, for Barack Obama. Now, while I do not care for him all too much, the middle aged women who asked for my help are people I care for a great deal, mostly because they make me laugh. So I did a little Emceeing and made a video which, naturally, did not work. There were so many interesting characters out today, I'm so glad to meet people that are genuinely intriguing to me. Goodbye!

Fundamentals

Well, I have found a place in New York, which is scary in itself to type. I hope I enjoy it. It's on a cute street in Brooklyn and I'm happy I would say. This will all be so strange, but I think I'll like it. In other news, I think I'm going to start a list of things that I want which will be carried over into every post. Just things. Things I may buy someday if the feeling is right, but mostly things I'd rather receive as gifts. Also: we put good orchestrations to the musical I'm writing right now, which I have satisfy-ably titled "Lovely Little Darling."

1. The Supremes Sing Rodgers and Hart: The Complete Recordings, by the Supremes
2. A set of 12 Prismacolor Col-erase colored pencils
3. A Majority of One with Rosalind Russell

Look At Those Crazy Mannequins: Elizabeth

I'm looking for an apartment in New York, New York, from Belleville, Illinois. It's hard. Fortunately, I have friends there who can do the snooping for me and separate the scams from the... lesser scams. I'm also writing ALL DAY, but to keep myself going I've found it necessary to eat breakfast and take a bike ride each morning. If I don't do this, I actually die by 6pm.

beatrice lillie

I just looked at way too many photographs of Beatrice Lillie. I think she's so fantastic, and in reading about her, I stumbled upon all of these other really fascinating women, and their stories involved scandal and murder and lots of fascinating things. I just had a fortune cookie and a tall glass of water, and now I'm going to bed.

back at home

Last night, voting ended for the first round of Lollapalooza's Last Band Standing. Over 900 bands competed for a spot in the top 100 to move onto round two, and our little band named Foxbaby came in at number 18! That means we can take a week off from promoting ourselves, and promoting ourselves (and promoting ourselves). But the battle has just begun.

Being home feels stranger and stranger every day. House parties aren't as common here since most of the houses my friends come home to are still the homes of their parents. There's The Upstairs, but I haven't exactly gotten used to the concept of having to drive home after a night out. The difficulty of it all sort of makes me want to stay in, but I know that's not the right move.

I've been home for a little more than a week, and I still haven't unpacked. There are boxes and messes in my room. I'm going to try my best to clean it up today.

I saw a great movie called Jellyfish a few days ago. I think I liked it because, at the beginning, while it made some really smart decisions, it was meaningless to me. And then, out of nowhere, it gathered up all of this meaning, out of nowhere. I've also included a bit of music from a group that I like a lot right now.
